Note to all: I do not have any specifics on pay or benefits. You will need to follow the link and apply to find out; as I said I am only posting this for a friend to get the word out.  They are looking for someone with well rounded experience in all K areas, but K6,K8,K1 would work. I can say this, I worked there for 7 years and enjoyed the lab very much, great people and the company relative to Thule is a good company to work for, don't know much about them elsewhere so I have nothing bad to report either way. Job Description:
The Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) technician is responsible for the performance of safe, accurate, reliable and traceable calibrations on all Thule Air Base Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) within each associated measurement calibration (K) area. Provide standardized measurements traceable through Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL) to National Institute of Standards (NIST) or other Air Force Metrology Calibration (AFMETCAL) sources to meet TO00-20-14 requirements necessary to maintain AFMETCAL certification and Performance Work Statement (PWS) compliance. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contract performance. Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns, and calibrates TMDE associated to all calibration areas of the Laboratory. Verify their individual training records are current and accurate on a daily basis to ensure qualifications on TMDE being certified. Strive to maintain personal qualifications at a level to ensure versatility within the individual calibration areas. Be an active participant of the quality program to help ensureTMDE is maintained with the utmost quality. Perform duties as a PMEL Quality Assurance (PQA) evaluator and inspect selected TMDE for Quality or Standards review. Perform duties as described in TO 00-20-14, local quality manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Document all necessary maintenance and quality entries using the PMEL Automated Maintenance System (PAMS). Assist in internal audit when required by the PMEL Manager. Perform necessary equipment preventive maintenance inspections (PMI's) and any required scheduling functions. When required, perform the duties of the PMEL Manager in his/her absence. Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Required Skills and Education:
 



High school diploma and completion of military PMEL course is required or equivalent electronics degree.


Minimum of four years' bench experience in the performance of troubleshooting, repair, alignment and calibration of TMDE in all areas of the PMEL.


Be familiar with PAMS and have knowledge of computers and the use of Microsoft Office products.


Must be able to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.


Rotation schedule will be 9 weeks on and 4 weeks off with possibility of adjustment.


A 66 hour work week will be the norm.
