Upcoming TMDE Calibrator vacancy located in Vilseck, Germany.  WG-3378-11, pay range will be $23.95 to $27.94 Hr.  Will be looking for a well rounded technician who has experience in all disciplines of measurements, including but not limited to DC and low, Resistance, Microwave, Temperature, Torque, Pressure and Vacuum, production control, etc.  The job will be announced via USAJOBS website in the near future and will list benefits of working and living overseas.

this is an Army cal position right? I heard they pay to move you there and back.

DOD has been changing the rules every few months according to Military Times, and back charging everyone...

I haven't heard of any problem with the folks who have gone to Germany from our shop.
Max 5 year tour over there usually, then back stateside. Not familiar exactly how that works if you aren't already a Fed.

I'm pretty sure they pay to move you back stateside if you continue to work at an Army cal lab. Your pay at 27.94 will depend on where you go I'd imagine. Go to Texas and it will drop; Hawaii it will go up to around 35/hr.

The position will be open to single and married personnel with or without dependants, PCS funding will be available for stateside hires.  As previously stated, the position will be listed via USAJOBS website with details and benefits of living overseas.

Any word as to how much longer Vilseck will be open? The Army presence in Germany is less than half of what it was 20 years ago.
