My name is Walt Kilar. I stumbled across this site by accident, and just had to check it out. I entered PMEL in Sept 1995. I have been assigned to Eglin, Osan, and Shaw. I am crossing over into the officer world as a 62EE.

2.  62E CAREER FIELD: Developmental Engineers are a large part of the Air Force acquisitions community.  We have assignment opportunities throughout the lifecycle of Air Force systems, from early research and development of new technologies, through design, testing, and fielding of new systems in all aspects of air, space, and information operations, to engineering support for fielded systems engaged in day-to-day operations.  Company grade 62E positions range from hands-on engineering to management and supervisory roles.  The 62E Development Team has defined a CGO development model to ensure our officers are best prepared to assume field grade responsibilities when they reach that point in their careers.  Accordingly, your first three assignments should include the following types of experience:
