I am sending my resume along with a copy of my dd 214. I do not have much direct calibration experience other than my time in the US Air Force.  However, my field of biomechanics was directly related.

Any idea what the area is like? What about housing? This would be some good information to have before applying.

It's a nice little area on the border of Texas & New Mexico. I quite like it.
For the rest, it would make more sense if you researched it yourself, no one but you can know what questions you need answered. Google is a good start.
