Job Description for the Electronics Calibration Technician :

Responsibilities performing calibrations:

   Calibrates and adjusts customer tools to appropriate standards and provide customer timely calibration services.
   Generate calibration certificates and complete work orders.
   Relies upon pre-established guidelines and generates new guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
   Capable of organizing department and scheduling work
   Must be able to determine logical next instruments to add to our capabilities in order to best serve our customers
   On-site calibration at customers' location.
   Works under limited supervision.
   Generates quotations for customers
   Assists sales in visits to potential customers to assess their electronic calibration needs
   Must be able to use Met-Cal calibration software

Responsibilities planning of calibrations and evaluation of results:

   Calibrates customer equipment and evaluates the results.
   Calibrates customer equipment as assigned by Calibration Manager.
   Determines needs to improve efficiency and grow the department

Responsibilities for reporting opinions and interpretations:

   Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
   Communicates interpretations with co-workers.
   A level of creativity is required.

Responsibilities to method modification and development and validation of new methods:

   Participates in the modification and validation of new methods

Expertise and experience required:

   Requires  electronics calibration training or its equivalent.
   Requires 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
   Must be able to train others on specific equipment

Qualifications and training programs:

   May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
   May be required to obtain additional training specific to equipment and / or software

Managerial duties:

   Reports to a supervisor or manager.
   Responsible for the overall housekeeping of the facility.
   Provide reasonable care of equipment , vehicles, and materials
   All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
