I'm Back

As some of you may know I left PMEL and the contract world.  Well as a good friend told me PMEL is a cruel mistress, seductive, fat thighs and drinks to much, and she has lured me back after only 5 months.  I'm back with the same contractor I was with, waiting for the new contract to be awarded and take effect and we have an AFMETCAL audit in just 2 weeks.  What in the world was I thinking!! 

Seriously, it is good to be back, got a promotion and I like the guys that I work with.  Looking forward to many more years.

Promotion? Nah you don't quit and get promoted. You get hired back in a new position. Possibly working with crazier people than before.

That reminds me, we are due a QA audit here soon ourselves....... dangit. They went to 100% unannounced...... not much fun when you are standing up a new lab..... and not sure what to bring home and hide in the garage (damn I miss post housing, the stuff never had to leave post  )

Ya wanna know the sad part of AFMETCAL auditors?  I'm getting to the age, I could be their father..and they'll be judging me...

Ah well, good luck, we get them in June (unless I win the lottery, then it's permanent hunting and fishing, with grandchild spoiling on the side      )

When I was a kid (E-3), I wanted to be an AFMETCAL auditor when I grew up (it was called AGMC back then). Now many of my friends are MSGTs and SMGTs on the audit teams and I am a civilian keeping up with them on Facebook...
