Let's not disparage

Recently I sent a personal email to a friend regarding a persons qualifications and recent work history.  Since the other person was a friend of mine I wanted to pass on my thoughts in a private way to him in case he had opportunity to review a potential employee's qualifications.  He took this information and passed it within his company.  I had concerns about the potential employee for reasons I will not go into, but in my 30 plus years of PMEL, I beleive the information I passed on to be the most important aspect of any PMEL persons qualifications.  I also stand behind what I said and believe the facts to be true and my opinions are certainly only that of my own, and I did say it was my opinion.  He was certainly within his rights to pass this info within his company and as a friend I wanted him to have the info so they could make an informed decision about hiring.  If they chose to hire that was certainly up to them, but I felt, as I said, that this was very important and wanted my friend to have it.  I didn't pass this information around nor did I post it here or anywhere else.  It was private for his use and his company.  This info has been made somewhat public and gotten to people who it wasn't intended for, but I have no problem with the info getting out.  Well the PMEL community is not as big as some people think and I find things out.  I would appreciate it if my name is not bandied about the community in an unflattering light.  I did what I believed to be right and for those of you that don't know the whole story, shame on you for pointing the finger of blame at me.  You know who you are and I look forward to you ceasing this practice.  I will not reply to any PMs on the subject, but if anyone would like to respond in a public forum I will but only if the whole story is brought to light by the person who it affects the most, and he knows who he is.  I beleive this to be a private matter that this person needs to take care of on his own so I will not comment further but as I said my name should be dropped from the conversation, this isn't my fault and I sleep well at night confident in the knowledge that I did what I felt was right and I would hope that others would pass on to me simalar information about anyone they knew with this issue so I would make a educated hiring decision as well.

I am sorry for your situation and I sincerely hope things work out for you.  I am glad to hear Mrs Flynn seems to be doing better and hope she continues to heal.

Hey PMEL Whore,  been thinking about you.  Things are still pretty good over here.  It gets a little old working so much, but they do pay well. "Unfriendly incidents are rare", that is a good thing.
