Description:
Coordinate the forward staging of calibration equipment and standards allowances.   Identify, tag, prepare materials according to established guidelines and procedures.   Store, stack or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.   Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.   Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage.   Reviews, evaluates and ensures compliance with regulations and directives affecting property accountability and disposition.   Maintain property control records for materials and update computer records.   Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance inspections, repairs, and calibration in accordance with the Metrology Calibrations Program (METCAL).   Conduct physical inventories.   Research and/or resolve inventory discrepancies.   Maintain integrity of historical databases to document control and property management of materials.  

Must Have 5+ years experience including:

-Warehouse operations; shipping and receiving processes and procedures
-Handling of precision measurement equipment
-Maintaining accurate inventories and documentation
-Navy Metrology Automated System for Uniform Recall and Reporting (MEASURE)

The successful applicant will have the following knowledge and skills:

-Familiarity with NAVAIR 17-35NCE-1 Navy Calibration Equipment List and NAVAIR 17-35MTL-1 Metrology Requirements List
-Communicate effectively in both oral and written form
-Effectively organize and prioritize workloads
-Establish and maintain successful work relationships
-Effectively use word processing and spreadsheet software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
-Perform work in a team environment
-Work independently with little direct supervision
-Basic math skills

High School Graduate or High School Equivalency.   Military experience preferred.
