Not sure if there is enough money on the planet to get me to move to the california

dallanta. . . After living in 10 different states and 3 countries, California is by far the best place I lived.  Typically people love to hate California simply because of the shadow it casts or they simply want to blame the state for everything bad that happens to their state.  California makes up nearly 3/4 of the west coast and is just as diverse (topographical and cultural) as the US itself.  Give me enough money to compensate for the ridiculous real estate market and I'll move back in a heartbeat.  Just think every time you eat produce in the winter, eat cheese, drink wine, or buy hundreds of other commodities they probably came from California.  Here are some facts: Read and weep. . .

According to the California Department of Finance, if California was an independent nation, it would have had the seventh largest economy in the world.

1.  United States
2.  Japan
3.  Germany
4.  United Kingdom
5.  France
6.  Italy
7.  California
8.  China (excluding Hong Kong)
9.  Spain
10.  Canada
11.  Mexico
12.  Korea
13.  India
14.  Australia
15.  Netherlands

California is responsible for 13% of the US GDP.  The state's GDP is at about $1. 7 trillion.  The GDP increased at an annual rate of 3. 1% in the first quarter of 2005.

. . . . Without California the US would be far worse off than you'd like to think
