I am a new member, and just wanted to say hey or hi depending on where you are from.
I am new to the forum, but not to world of PMEL and metrology.
I went to the basic school at Lowry AFB from October 1979 through May 1980. I was stationed at Homestead AFB mid 1980 to mid 1982, from there to Seymour Johnson 1982 to 1985. From July 1985 through August 1988 we were in Athens, Greece; great assignment. Back to the states and a tour at England AFB from 1988 to 1989, next I had my short tour at Keflavik Iceland 1990 to 1991. My last active duty assignment was the Type IV at Eglin AFB from 1991 to June 1994, with a four month TDY in Saudi. My dates are close with uncertainties of +/- one week to as much +/- 6 months depending on the assignment.
After retiring from the Air Force in June 1994 I started working for a contractor at Columbus AFB, MS and I am still here, with no plans to leave.
As you would guess, I have held all positions within a PMEL from a three level technician to branch chief and all in between. I am currently the PMEL lead (same as TMDE branch chief) at the Columbus AFB PMEL.
I am a member of the NCSLI, since 2006, and have been fortunate enough to attend the last two annual meetings in Nashville and Saint Paul.
Without making this too long, I would like to thank the organizer(s) of this forum, and I hope to be able to contribute at least a small percentage of what I am sure I will receive.
