Title: Looking for experienced Cal Tech.
Post by: fwisdo on 09-25-2007 -- 08:34:45
This is not an official job post.  The opening has not been posted by H. R.  yet.

However we are looking for an experienced military trained PMEL tech(s) for the Harris Corporation Calibration Lab located in Palm Bay, FL.  The company's human resources department does not do a good job of targeting specific people.  So I thought I would post on the PMEL Forum myself.
We only support Harris and do not do any commerical calibrations.

The company offers 3 weeks paid vacation to start.  401K, great benefits.
We work 9 hour days and have every other Friday off.
The salary range for an Engineering Technician D which is the highest level Tech is $35,300 to $58,800.  This is not a union job so you can negotiate your starting salary based upon your experience.  Cost of living in Brevard County, FL is low so this is good pay for the area.

If you are interested please e-mail your resume or questions to fwisdo@harris. com
If you would like to check out Harris go to www. harris. com

Thank you for your time,

Frank J.  Wisdo

Not having any relocation package could make it difficult for you to hire a good tech. You may want to go to your HR dept. and let them know that. Just some advice. :-D

Some people just love the south. Some love hurricane Alley too. I heard it through the grapevine and then some that a slot was filled.

One position is taken.   However, there is still one position available and we are currently interviewing.   There is a background check and drug test.  Hire date will be ASAP.
I wish we could offer a relocation package but HR wont allow it.

What about Harris that was in RTP, NC?  Did they close up?
I wanted to be a tech for them at the time, but they didn't
offer enough pay.

Thanks
