DescriptionThis position performs routine check, test, gauging and instrument inspections of United States Air Force Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) at the Hill AFB Type IIA Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) located near Ogden, Utah.
RequirementsRequires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience; Minimum of 4 years quality assurance experience in assigned measurement areas or discipline. Knowledge of DC/low frequency generation, time/domain, torque and hand tool measurement principals, troubleshooting techniques, metrology techniques and laboratory practices. Knowledge of PMEL facility requirements, AFMETCAL Program functions/procedures and ISO 17025 are essential. Applicants must have experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, overhauling, aligning, calibrating and certifying TMDE and/or laboratory standards, as well as ensuring calibration traceability to NIST. Preferred education/training includes completion of a DOD PMEL School; completion of the USAF PMEL Technician in-residence course is highly desirable. Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
