Well then.............Would you normally include the TI into your labs budget?

I am confused with the question.  Do you mean the piece of equipment your trying to establish an the budget for?

Sorry about that. I'm trying to establish a budget for a specific process. It only involves 2 standards. I have a person that always wants to include the TI in the budget. Which really doesn't show our best uncertainty in my opinion, it shows the best the TI's uncertainty will be.

So I guess my question is more, Is it common practice to include the TI into your uncertainty budget?

I run two uncertainty budgets, one is my best uncertainty, the other is a working uncertainty which includes the TI in the budget. Not that any of the end users have a clue as to what it's all about. So go ahead and give them an uncertainty with there equipment included, all your really trying to do is give them the warm fuzzy.

Bingo............that's what I've been trying to tell this bozo here. We need to have our own best uncertainty without including the TI. Have a seperate one for that.

Thanks
