Post by: cshort on 03-08-2007 -- 15:17:14
I really need help filling a graveyard PMEL Calibration position in Roseville, CA.   It is a 12 month contract but there is always the possiblity that it could go full time.   If anyone out there knows someone who might be intersted please have them contact me toll free at 888-501-9048 or they can email me at cshort@volt. com.   I really appreciate any help.   I am running out of places to search.

Thanks

Well cshort from volt.    How much does it pay?

It pays between $22-$25 an hour with a 15% shift differential.   Are you interested or do you know someone that may be?

You'll probably have to get a kid fresh out of junior college or a young ex-enlisted type with <4 bench time.  I'm assuming you're referring to Agilent? Surely they can pay closer to $30 ph for a more seasoned PMEL troop.  The good thing about calibration jobs is that you can't outsource these jobs to China, Mexico or India.  You can still hire cheap labor, but you'll get under-educated, under-trained folks w/o a clue about traceability or integrity.  :?

Well at least they came up from the $18/hr they were looking to pay before. Cshort, you know that you will need at least $30/hr to live in Roseville, that place is insanely expensive. Go and tell Larry that he will need to come up in pay to get any quality recruits.....

I don't know any "real" techs that would work for 18/hr anywhere in the U.S. much less California. This has got to be Volt Services again.
