Stay put until we know what is going to happen with the contract. We are on our final extension and we're not sure who holds the keys to the lab yet. I'm sure that there will be other posts as soon as the contract info is released.
Contact info would help.
Like Who's the hiring manager, their email and fax. Any job posting that your aware of.

Robins Type IIA PMEL is actively seeking experienced technicians for all areas of the lab. Give them a call. It's really not a bad place to work despite what others perceive.
Contact Robins A.F.B. PMEL at 478-926-3959 and speak with the Kerry Lardie (Tech. Op. Supervisor)
We have a need for electronics and physical dimensional technicians.
Squid,
Its nine months later so who knows. Maybe the original poster will see your inquiry and respond. However in the mean time I would suggest trying to format an e-mail. Put together what you know.
POC: Kerry Lardie
Location: Robins AFB
Military bases have e-mail that ends in .mil air force .af.mil
So try (remove the spaces spamproofed to protect the guilty):
Kerry . Lardie @ Robins . AF . MIL
That's some pretty good deductive reasoning. I'll give it a try
Yes Ladies and Gents-Robins AFB PMEL is still hiring. We are a large lab-so there is always some type of hiring going on. We really need experienced techs, folks who can be self starters. If this is you, call (478) 926-3959 and ask for Warren Hughes. Mr Hughes is the Program Manager. He can answer any of your questions.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
Tell Chuck Kulpa I said hi...
I hear rumor that AFMETCAL may be moving to Robins. Any truth this????
What is the pay range for techs at Robins? There's another guy here who's looking to stay in the area.
Hmm look around here .... I saw it somewhere it said 22 ish.

Now THAT'S funny!
This may be where the rumor started...just because it came from a Robins website..

I don't think some of those older people (Kevin, Ken and Ken) are gonna move to Georgia, especially with all the new hires from Ohio St.
Mike
I do know WRAFB is hiring techs of all kinds- apply now and enjoy the warm Georgia weather!
This is kind of off the thread for Robins Hiring, but it was already in here so: there is no truth to the rumor that AFMETCAL is moving to Robins. What happenned was due to the Air Forces IT initiatives, something to do with servers, Metweb and the metrolgy info on the AF Portal is now linked through the Robins page.
Robins is still hiring, probably always will be, send me a private message or reply throough this thread if you want to talk.
Do you work there? If not where are you getting your information?
Give them a call. It's really not a bad place to work despite what others perceive
not exactly enthusiastic!! lol :-D

As a whore there is potential the poster has worked at many labs and has several points of contact.
But hey its just an open to the public .mil site.
As far as the hiring goes there is more than one thread here about hiring. Look through the annals of the forum and read about various revolving doors in certain contract labs.
Besides that Civil Servix has hired more recently there from my understanding.
A lot of companies and goverment agencies advertise their openings on the following sites: www. ecalibration. com and www. pmel. org
