Well, it's that time again... Yep, just when you got used to the lay of the land, I've gone and changed it up again!
If you're like me, you'll find it to be a change for the better. I'll run down some of the improvements real quick.
- Users now have to provide visual verification of random image in order to register and post in jobs forums (should keep the bots and spam to a minimum)
- Removed the CMS (Joomla!) that was wrapped around the forum. While it is nice, it was a delicate balance keeping the two interacting properly. This setup made it really difficult to make any changes to either the CMS or forum software. The new setup utilizes TinyPortal and is a function of the forum. It does most (if not all) that Joomla! did, with much less headache.
- Updated theme. I think that the layout makes for better navigation, plus it gives us a crisp new look.
- The preview post function works again.
- I'm sure there's more, but I just can't think of them right now...
Anyway, I hope you like it. I'm sure that there will need to be some fixes here and there, and I will be trying to go through and change all of the broken links (as they've changed slightly). If after a week of so, something isn't working right, please let me know.

I'm gonna have to work on that. There are several things (i.e. glossary, guestbook) that were functions of the CMS and it's just going to take me some time to change them over. The only reason I didn't wait until the conversion was 100% complete was because we had 250+ bots try to register over the past couple of months. And it was getting worse every day. The latest version of SMF defends against that crap way better than the old one.

Not sure what you mean. :? All the smileys that were there should still be. :-D
The guestbook (http://www.pmelforum.com/index.php?page=19) is back up... Just needs some minor layout/format tweaking.
Hopefully this weekend, we'll have a spellcheck function for the forum!
