Title: ILC's anyone?
Post by: ken91379 on 10-26-2006 -- 15:27:56
If anybody would like to participate in an ILC with my lab please contact me. Feel free to view our scope of accreditation at http://iasonline.org/PDF/CL/CL-103.pdf  (http://iasonline.org/PDF/CL/CL-103.pdf) to see if you are interested in an ILC in one or more of those areas. I can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 714-996-2042, just ask for Ken.

Thanks,

Ken

Great idea Ken. What exactly do you have in mind? Is your lab planning on coordinating the ILC and compiling the data? How about artifacts? Do you have some on hand that would be suitable?

I could probably rummage around in my closet at work and come up with a mass set from 10 mg to 100 g that could be used if that would help. Not sure I could lay my hands on much else right now but at least that would be a start.

Mark me down as interested and wanting to participate if it is in an area that we have decent capabilities.

Anybody else out there interested?

Well my lab has to perform PT's/ILC's in each of the sections on our scope of accreditation within 4 years per our accreditation body and APLAC. There are not that many pt's our AB is providing for us so I have to search for labs who are willing to work with us. So far we have had pt's on resistance and scales and an ILC in in mass. We would be willing to participate with willing labs in various ILC's to help us all fulfill our requirements(if any). The labs would have to take turns providing the artifacts and acting as the reference labs. Even one or two labs would help.  :-)

Well I have moved to another company but I have passed on the information about my post here to the new Quality Manager. He will post here in the future to set up ILC's with other labs.

Thanks,

Kenneth
