Title: Best 1 GHz scope?
Post by: scottbp on 09-26-2006 -- 08:05:18
Hey y'all,

We're looking at getting a decent 1 GHz scope to replace our old Textronix antiques with the 7S11/7T11 plug-ins for our high frequency needs. Right now, we're looking at the Agilent DSO6014, but we've also looked at the Tektronix TDS794D or TDS784A. Anybody ever use either of these? What does the military use in their PMEL/TMDE labs nowadays?

I personally like Tektronix when it comes to all scopes. The TDS's ( Tektronix ) are easier to use than the Infiniums or DSO's ( Agilent ). Aligning a TDS is much easier too, if you ever had to adjust it. The Agilent looks cooler, but for practical purposes I would go with Tektronix. :|

For once I will have to agree with Coup.  I prefer the Tektronix TDS's.

This is scary, agreeing with Coup, what is this world coming too?
