TESCOM - IMMEDIATE CALIBRATION (PMEL/TMDE) TECH OPENINGS IN AUSTIN & SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
Due to continuing business growth, Tescom Calibration & Repair (tescomcalibration.com) has immediate openings for Calibration Technicians at our Austin and San Antonio Texas calibration laboratories. We have been experiencing business growth, and have immediate need for experienced PMEL/TMDE Calibration Technicians.
We are seeking a well-rounded calibration technician with diverse commercial experience, including primarily electronic calibration skills. We are also looking for a senior Physical/Dimensional calibration technician with expert skills in related disciplines.
Our Austin calibration lab covers many disciplines, including: DMM's (to 8.5 digits), Oscilloscopes, Function/Pulse Generators, RF Signal Generators/Spectrum/Network Analyzers, counters, RF Power Sensors and many more. Physical/Dimensional lab covers common gauges and instruments such as: Pressure, Torque, Calipers, Micrometers, Air flow, Pin/thread/plug Gauges, Relative Humidity, Temperature, pH, scales/analytical balances, and many others. Our smaller San Antonio satellite calibration lab is more focused on Physical/Dimensional calibrations, with some electrical/electronic calibrations.
We service a wide variety of central Texas customers across many industries and government agencies, which requires a broad cross section of skills (often combinations of RF, DC/LF and physical/Dimensional). Positions require a combination of in lab work, and local travel to perform on-site calibrations at customer locations. There is currently no overnight travel needed.
Candidate must have completed military PMEL/TMDE School calibration training (or equivalent), and have a minimum of 10 years calibration experience. Candidate should be skilled in proper processing of calibration certificates, generating accredited measurement uncertainties and other documentation in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory. Desirable added skills include use of automated calibration software (such as MetCal, SureCal, NI Calibration Executive), use of MS Excel/MS Word. Candidate must have good analytical skills, good understanding of electronic theory, and the ability perform basic calculations (such as Ohm's Law).
Pay is competitive based on level of experience and negotiable, with good benefits.
