Tescom has an immediate opening for a Lead PMEL/Calibration Technician at our Austin Texas calibration laboratory. We have been experiencing business growth, and have immediate need for a Lead PMEL/TMDE/Calibration Technician

We are seeking an experienced Physical Dimensional lead calibration technician, with diverse commercial calibration experience, including Electronic calibration skills. Our well-equipped calibration lab covers many disciplines. This includes common test equipment, plus many others. Physical/Dimensional lab covers common gages and instruments, such as: Pressure, Torque, Calipers, Micrometers, Air flow, Pin/thread/plug Gages, Relative Humidity, pH, and others.

We service a wide variety of central Texas customers across many industries, which requires a broad cross section of skills (physical/Dimensional). Position requires a combination of in lab work, and local travel to perform on-site calibrations customer locations.

Ideal candidate should have completed military calibration (PME/TMDE) training or equivalent, and have a minimum of 10+ years calibration experience and can calculate uncertainty measurements. Experience in a quality focused commercial laboratory and customer on-site background are both a plus. Candidate should have experience processing calibration documentation, and using calibration automation software. Desirable added skills include working in ISO17025 Accredited lab and use of MS Excel/MS Word. Candidate should have good analytical skills, good understanding of electronic theory, and the ability perform basic calculations (such as Ohm's Law).

Pay is competitive based on level of experience and negotiable, with good benefits.
