Post by: K-Rock on 07-19-2006 -- 13:27:31
Looking for an equivalent replacement (up to 40 V Output). Any suggestions?

2A2B if you can get your hands on one. That's a USMC asset. The 33120A is only good up to 20V. I'm sure you know that. Maybe a 3326AOPT001,002 according to METPRO. :?

The 33250 is made by Agilent, but does not have the 40V output. Unless they have a new option I don't know about.

The possible equivalent models are the 3324A opt.002 and the 3325A opt.002. Also the 3326A opt.002 can provide 40V but I believe it is only in the sine function. The last possibility could be the Wavetek 650. It has up to 50Vpp with a zero ohm output impedance selection. These are all older units but it doesn't seem that Agilent gives us many new choices for these older work horses these days. The 33250 was Agilent's answer to the 3325B but no HV option seems to be available.

I believe there is someone out there pushing a "No-Name" brand that supposed to replace it. I will try to find out who and what model number.

Sorry we could not be more of help. I think we are all in the same boat on this one. Keep your 3325 opt 002 alive as long as you can.

The only other thing you could do is add an amp to a 33250A. Of course your uncertainty will increase, but I don't think it will be substantial.

Phillps 5138A will work for the 40Vpk-pk requirements.
