IMMEDIATE CALIBRATION (PMEL/TMDE) SPECIALIST OPENING IN AUSTIN, TEXAS
TESCOM (http://www.tescomusa.com) has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level PMEL/ Calibration Specialist at our Austin Texas calibration laboratory.
We are seeking a Mid-level Calibration Specialist with well-rounded commercial calibration experience, including performing commercial on-site calibrations at customer locations. Our well-equipped calibration lab covers many disciplines. These include common test equipment, plus many others. DMM's up to 8.5 digits, Oscilloscopes, Function/Pulse, RF Signal Generators/ Spectrum/Network Analyzers (to 26.5 GHz), counters, RF Power Sensors (using Weinschel system II), and many more. Physical/Dimensional lab covers common gages and instruments, such as: Pressure, Torque, Calipers, Micrometers, Air flow, Pin/thread/plug Gages, Relative Humidity, pH, and others.
We service a wide variety of central Texas customers across many industries, which requires a broad cross section of skills (combinations of RF, DC/LF and physical/Dimensional). Position requires in lab work and on-site calibrations at local customer locations.
Experience: Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years combined military and commercial calibration experience. This should include 5 years working in a commercial calibration lab including on-site calibrations. Candidate should have experience processing calibration documentation, and using calibration automation software. Desirable added skills include working in an ISO17025 Accredited lab, use of MetCal, SureCal or other automated calibration software, and use of MS Excel/MS Word. Candidate should have good analytical skills, good understanding of electronic theory, and the ability perform basic calculations (such as Ohm's Law).
Training: Completed military calibration (PMEL/TMDE) training or equivalent.
