Title: Current Probe Bandpass
Post by: briansalomon on 05-19-2017 -- 11:36:20
I am verifying bandpass of high frequency current probes by discharging a large stored voltage through an air gap and measuring the risetime of the current probe on an oscilloscope.

I'm using the diagram from MIL-STD-461G (2 MAR 2015) on page 98 to construct the RC network

I'm using the observed risetime (limited by my oscilloscope's capability) to determine the actual bandpass of the current probe using BP = 0.35/RT

I believe the RC network is the MIL standard is intended to simulate a human body and is not relevant to the observed risetime.

Any observations?
