Job Description Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Minimal supervision. Work may be done without established procedures. Leads and mentors others and lower level employees, may assign work and schedule work flow.
Basic Qualifications High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 5 Years or more of experience.
• Understanding of ANSI/NSCL Z540-1-1994 requirements
• Experienced with the use and operation of mechanical and electrical test equipment
• Experience in calibration and repair of inspection, measuring, and test equipment
• Ability to use computer controller automatic test equipment calibration system
• Experience in the use of computer, Microsoft Office, instrumentation control utilizing automated calibration software
• Ability to work effectively as part of the Metrology team
Typical Minimums High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 5 Years or more of experience.

• Familiarity with ISO 17025 & ANSI Z540.3 requirements
