Have an E4405B that appears to be functioning well with the exception of observed frequency response which exists from exactly 3 Ghz through the upper limit of 13.2 GHz. This "dropoff" has a magnitude of 5 to 8 dB.
I read that the TME automated calibration and alignment only available to the manufacture and "self-supporters", stores corrections to EPROMs in the units over this band in an attempt to bring it within specifications.
My question is: Is a 5 to 8 dB correction reasonable or beyond the capabilities of Keysight's automated procedure?
Many Thanks.
5 to 8 dB is a lot to correct for on TME. You may be able to complete if you adjust 2 times. if not, it's parts time.
Yes it will correct nut lower labs are not given the tools (approved TO and unlock code) as they are job security for upper labs... all equipment is available ar lower level to adjust..
