Precision Metrology, Inc. is in search of experienced Electronics Calibration Technician for a full-time position at the Milwaukee, WI laboratory.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONThis job function is primarily responsible to calibrate, repair and certify all electronic test and measuring equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES– All responsibilities must be conducted in compliance with all technical requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
• Identify type of equipment
• Troubleshoot and disassemble, where necessary, for needed repairs
• Clean, repair and reassemble to the original manufacturer specifications
• Calibrate electronic equipment
• Prepare research on instruments when required to estimate costs to repair and calibrate, and recommend directly to the customer alternative courses of action including pricing and cost impacts
• Maintain standards according to company policy
• Ability to identify and utilize appropriate calibration procedures
• Determine whether equipment being calibrated is in-tolerance or out-of-tolerance
• Complete all required documentation thoroughly, legibly and in a timely manner
• Adhere completely to company procedures and policies directly and indirectly pertaining to job function and responsibilities
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE• 2 years in calibration/repair/troubleshooting preferred
• PMEL preferred
• Formal training in Calibration/Metrology preferred
SKILL/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED• Microsoft Office – Excel, Word
• Experience with MetCal preferred – the use of. Program writing a bonus
• Basic understanding of metrology
• Ability to follow procedures and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills
• Problem solving
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to read electronic schematics and blueprints

• Familiarity with the concept measurement uncertainty

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS• Normal laboratory environment
• Some travel to customer locations (some overnight travel may be required)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• May require safety shoes, glasses and hearing protection at customer sites
