JOB DESCRIPTION:   
The Technician is responsible for providing calibration and maintenance services on electrical equipment in the RADIAC laboratory.  The tech uses advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturer's manuals or similar documents.  In addition, the job requires the ability to use complex test instruments, such as, high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex control equipment.   

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1. Associate's Degree or related equivalent experience.
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in metrology and repair of TMDE
3. Excellent working knowledge of calibration and maintenance of RADIAC primary measurements standards
4. Possesses the knowledge required to read and understand schematic and wiring drawings.
5. Thorough understanding of the requirements of ISO 17025 and T.O. 00-20-14. 
6. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
7. Must be able to qualify for or have successfully completed a National Agency Check Investigation within the last ten (10) years.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Essential/Typical Duties:
•   Maintains and calibrates electronic, optical, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
•   Performs general maintenance and overhaul procedures; and uses TMDE to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Non-Essential Duties:
•   Perform other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Often requires:
Climbing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Standing, Sitting, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Talking, and Hearing

Lifting/Moving Requirements:
•   Must have the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds (lbs.); must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements when calibrating certain TMDE.

Environmental Conditions:
•   Normally works in an environmentally controlled work area.
