...
You forgot.. Likes long walks through the calibration lab, holding hands, and candle light repairs.
Sorry... I just never read a post like this one before..
Mike.....lol
Jinuque,
There is so much pmel work out there right now, you could pretty much go where you want. I know Lockheed had several positions open throughout the country. You can find them on the careers page of the website
http://www.msiviking.com/careers-with-msi/
odd.. cant really take it seriously, sorry.
are you banking on the Female part being the trump card? i know calibration is predominantly old men. However, slinging female out there makes it like we are all looking for a single women to work in the lab?

Not at all. Most labs have the demographic you mention and they don't want a woman there to "mess-up the vibe". Especially in Phys-D. Sometimes it's just "No girls allowed" god ol' boys club.
I thought it was a catchy creative way to get people to snap onto her message.
I think it's a very good idea to allow potential employers to decide if your personal facts are something they are willing to consider. I'm 57 and I put that on my resume so employers can decide if that's what they're looking for without asking me.
The post was different because there are not many women posting here.
Junique, you left the most important part - what are YOUR measurements?
I thought it was a really clever way of introducing herself and letting everyone know she is available for a great opportunity.
I just wish I had authority now to hire and train my replacement. Retirement beckons, though it will probably be a couple of years.
Junique if you are still available in a couple of years I would love to talk to you.
Thanks guys for the kind responses. Just being myself. I'm "crazy" I love PMEL and find in fun. I hope to be around for a while. I'm active on the FB page and would love to network more. Calibration is a science and art, the tactile feel in Phys-D can make or break a good measurement. You can't put a touch or technique in a manual. Some things have to be shown to be passed down properly, IMO. A great mentor is key to become a great trades-person and master the art of measurement. OlDave I will be in touch. If you have any QA, Phys-D or Management reference material you care to share it would be appreciated. Have a fantastic 4th everyone.
Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you.
Ah, the FB page. I left it a year+ ago and haven't looked back. Is it still just blog for a few peoples' music playlists?

Kind Responses? I hope to hell this doesn't turn into a girly site!!
I have to admit...
A woman who is certain about the uncertainty of her measurements, she is truly one of a kind...
And I am guessing worth more than $15 per hour..

yea whats the point of being PMEL trained and work for as much as some damn burger flipper..
I'm guessing NOT!! She's too confused about what to measure!
Where is a burger flipper getting $15 an hour?? Sounds like I need a part time job at Mcdonalds... Where do you live Seattle? The places around here pay about $9 an hour if you are lucky. Hell my wife has an Associates degree and she isn't making $15 an hour...

If your young maybe consider going overseas for a year and banking some serious cash.

I was being somewhat facetious. I did read or hear something were fastfood workers want to be paid that. Though folks working at hobbylobby start at $11 from the sign i read at one of our local stores in houston. a buddy of mine worked at lowes a few years ago and was getting $13+
so paying a cal tech $15/hr is laughable IMO. Because with no training no HS education you can get $11+ in many places. not sure how anyone can live on $15/hr these days anyway.
I just posted a Tech II position for Minot. Apply at http://www.goldbelt.com/ if you're still looking and interested. You'll need to submit a resume when you apply. If you have previous PMEL experience, a list of personal PMEL Supervisor references is preferred.
Make sure you have a resume posted on USAJOBS. Code 2602 and 2610 will usually bring them up.
