It will be listed in the announcement on USAjobs, as far as PCS costs, and it is pricey to live in Hawaii

Unfortunately the move is not paid for and it can be expensive to live here.  Lower than San Francisco but higher than most areas on the mainland. Let me know if have any other questions, Thanks

Even if you're poor...walk outside and you're in Hawaii. (paraphrased from R. Cressman).

I know that when I interviewed with Yulista many years ago they were offering about $4000 for relocation.  Fortunately I lived in Lilipuna and Kaneohe prior to joining the USMC.  I was aware of how expensive the cost of living was and that helped me make my decision to end up in Florida.  The lab on Hickam Field was nice and people there seemed friendly as they took me out to lunch during my interview.

Working and living on Oahu is nice. Is it expensive? Only if you keep pretending to be a tourist and/or only stay in touristy areas or fall into the gvt contracted housing trap. Would I work on Oahu again? Yes. As a WG11? Uh, no.

I think that's the big problem for me. I have a family and where I live now the pay that I see seems nice but I need to live well enough that I won't be feeding the kids and wife ramen noodles to afford it. Hawaii sounds like a great place to live and work but it needs to pay well enough too.
