Metrology TechnicianDescriptionAmerican Technical Services, Inc., (ATS) is a diverse technical services firm providing government and private industry clients a wide range of calibration services, metrology engineering, and calibration software development and support services. We are currently seeking several Metrology Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with calibration experience on general purpose measurement and test equipment (MTE) in multiple measurement disciplines. These positions require a sound understanding of general metrology principals, plus bench calibration experience on one or more of the following: Multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other electrical equipment. Pressure, gas-flow, dimensional, and temperature calibration experience would be a plus. Tasks will include performing equipment calibrations and other lab support activities that are moderate to high in technical complexity. Proficiency to operate and knowledge of safety and facility requirements for diverse calibration laboratory is required.

Requirements
- Formal PMEL Metrology Training or Equivalent combination of Calibration Education, Training, and Experience
- Minimum 4 years Professional Calibration Laboratory Experience;
- Thorough Knowledge of Metrology/Calibration Quality Management Systems (ISO-17025)
- Computer skills, including basic PC operation, plus metrology Software including MudCats, Maximo and other metrology automation software systems;
- Strong and Effective Interpersonal Skills, with Ability to Interact Professionally with a Diverse Group of Stakeholders and Staff.
