Description:
Calibrate electronic and physical mechanical test and measuring equipment. Calibration to include Commercial and Government Owned equipment with the areas of calibration being determined by equipment backlog Set up calibration stations according to detailed specifications, blue prints, drawings and requirements.
Performs calibration/certifications/verifications of Electronic, Physical and Mechanical test and Measurement Equipment. Duties to include verifications of equipment accuracies by comparison to known standards. Adjustment to the equipment as necessary to meet industry standards for accuracy and customer requirements. Recording and documenting calibration information within a controlled database. Candidate must be able to follow documented processes to perform a combination of manual and automated calibrations utilizing automation software such as Fluke MetCal and Measurements International Software in accordance to calibration procedures. Candidate must have knowledge of proper adjustment procedures for test and measurement equipment and repair techniques. Candidate must be able to work independently with little assistance.
Required Minimums
Level 2
High School diploma or equivalent experience / combined education with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 3 to 7 years of experience. Required Supervision: General supervision with instructions given for routine work and detailed instruction for new lines of work or special assignments
Level 3
A.S. degree in a technical field or ASQ Calibration technician certification or PMEL training and 5-10 years of experience. Knowledgeable in the use of calibration automation stations and in M&TE troubleshooting and repair methods and techniques
Desired Skills
Basic electronic and Physical Dimensional calibration Experience. Electronic RF Microwave, Physical Dimensional, Flow Calibration experience. Must demonstrate good communications skills, verbal and written as well as solid organization skills.
