Calibration Technician I is an entry level position.
These technicians will typically have the ability to calibrate low end process instrumentation in one to three disciplines. (i.e. Electrical, Dimensional, or Pressure). A Level I Technician should accumulate a Technical Qualification Score between 0 and 40. Refer to the Technician Qualification Matrix and Metrology Knowledge Section for specifics.

[email protected]Apply knowledge of electronics, mathematics, and measurement science to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the electrical, dimensional, optical, physical/mechanical, and/or chemical disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy.
Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques.
Perform corrective actions to address identified measurement problems.
Adapt equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements.
Maintain calibration standards.
Will perform these functions within a laboratory setting or at a customer site.

Education and/or Experience :
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
