JOB DESCRIPTION:   
The QA Manager reports directly to the AFPSL Program Manager and is responsible for the quality of processes and production within the AFPSL.  The QA Manager must be able to provide effective leadership and coordinate efforts of a highly skilled workforce.  In addition, the position works independently to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex technical problems.

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1.   Bachelor's Degree in Management or equivalent number of years in a related
       discipline
2.   Completion of the DOD Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) School
3.   Minimum 8 years management and quality assurance experience; prior experience
       should include management responsibility for a quality program of similar size and
       complexity.
4.   Experience with U.S. Air Force Calibration Procedure Technical Orders
5.   Good communication and interpersonal skills
6.   Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word) required.
7.   Demonstrated experience of maintaining calibration laboratory compliance to
       ISO/IEC 17025 and T.O. 00-20-14 quality standards
8.   Extensive knowledge of the Air Force Metrology Calibration Program
       requirements (USAF TO 00-20-14)
9.   Excellent documentation and customer service skills.
10. Excellent attention to detail
11. Demonstrates ability to work independently while meeting deadlines
12. Travel may be required.
13. Must be a U.S. Citizen
14. Must be able to qualify for or have successfully completed a National Agency Check
       Investigation within the last ten (10) years
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
   Essential/Typical Duties:
     • Develop and implement a quality system that complies with ISO 17025 and T.O.
         00-20-14 and assures the system is communicated to laboratory personnel and 
         followed at all times.
     • Develop and maintain the AFPSL Quality Manual and related SOPs.
     • Perform as the AFPSL liaison for external audits.
     • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and
         summarizing information and trends including process effectiveness, production
         quality, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
     • Maintain a schedule of internal audits/assessments per AFPSL and contract
         requirements.
     • Interface with Bionetics corporate QA Director for all quality issues not resolved at
         the contract level.
   Non-Essential Duties:
     • Perform other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
   Lifting/Moving Requirements:
             • Must have the ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds (lbs.)

   Environmental Conditions:
           • Normally works in an environmentally controlled work area.
