Just wondering what peoples opinions are on it?
We are transitioning all of our labs to Met/Team currently. From a technician's stand point it takes longer to turn items than it did in Met/Track. But from a management stand point they have a lot more options when customizing reports. I'm just happy to not be using Metcal Runtime 7.1 anymore!!!
Indysoft.
are you joking? That is the worst value for $$ spent I have seen.
Here at JSC were are waiting for our IT people to finish their test and prep so it can be brought online... :-o
Good luck seems to be a cluster to me. Harder to do most everything and from what I can see not intuitive at all... Hopefully with more experience it gets better but I think it will take longer no matter what and since we have no way to transfer any of the THOUSANDS of templates we will have to be doing them all over again.
This is for silv3rstr3--your headaches are just beginning and they don't stop. Using Metcal 8 is like having a Migraine that won't go away

My IT people are not metrologists at all; so years ago when I originally installed MET/TRACK, I told them just give me some server space and network infrastructure, then stand clear while I set it up and administer it. I'm using the same philosophy for MET/TEAM. Installing it wasn't hard at all; neither is importing our list of assets; once exported to a delimited text file. The hard part will be transitioning to using it; as it is an entirely different animal than MET/TRACK.
The people at Fluke keep telling us how great it is... You keep using this word great,I do not think it means what you think it means...
Does anyone else think that it looks a lot like Labmate???
Ah man!!! I got enough headaches as it is already...lol. I feel like my job lately has become figure out all the sh!t that no one else can.
We call that the WTF department. I think every lab has a WTF department. :-o
