Calibration Technicians
Position Description
American Technical Services (ATS) is a diverse, technical services firm providing governmental and commercial clients a wide range of metrology engineering support services, calibration technicians, metrology software/automation, and IT support services. Our customer base includes the US Navy's Measurement Science Department, in addition to commercial corporations in the pharmaceutical, aerospace, nuclear, public utilities, and defense industry sectors.
ATS is comprised of an outstanding team with unique metrology experience working with cutting edge metrology technology in a dynamic environment. We currently have openings for several experienced Calibration Technicians, with positions located in Ventura County, CA and in Norco, CA. The successful candidates must have hands-on calibration experience in an accredited calibration operation.
Position Requirements
• Minimum 5-years hands-on calibration experience of measurement and test equipment (MTE).
• Experience across one or more of the following measurement disciplines; general purpose MTE, physical/dimensional/environmental MTE, and electronic MTE.
• Must have experience working in calibration operation that meets ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006(R2013) and/or ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Metrology Quality Management Standards.
• Experience using calibration automation and asset management software highly desirable.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills required. Additionally, the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members.
• ASQ-CCT Certification or Military PMEL training highly desired.
