Although I was TAD to Barber's Point NAS, all I really remember was tire inflator test kits. If I want to get into the civilian aviation calibration market, what types of Reference Standards will I need to procure? Budget $300K.

Why do you expect people to help you do research you should be doing for yourself?
you'll need more than $300K. That's why nobody replies.

maybe you should look into leasing equipment. 300K will not buy a lot when you are talking about electronics. if you are good at repair, maybe you could buy some stuff from DRMO or ebay and repair it but it would still require calibration. depending on what type of work you want to do , you may also be required to get FAA/FCC certs. there is also an airworthiness requirement.

Must be an executive, lol
Worked for a company (briefly) that wanted to jump in to microwave calibration...with half that budget
Dear United States Marine:
Thanks for responding. I am researching this via all avenues, that's why I asked for input form experts such as yourself.
I was TAD to Barber's Point Naval Air Station, but I am so old now (50) I can't remember everything.
Have a great day,

Just a "Hands On" technical / management level professional, asking for advice only, that's all.
$300K was a ballpark.
Point taken! 300K will maybe buy a decent USED MMS but the cal will killl you start with a small nich market like say some temp pressure and torque and work from there good luck!
