Title: Global Calibration Services Market: 2014 - 2018
Post by: Hawaii596 on 08-27-2014 -- 07:37:26
I just heard about this report.  Very expensive.  Has anyone actually seen the report, and what kinds of valuable information is in it?

I know thats a ridiculous price.  Kind of why I posted on here.  Eventually there will be some copies floating around.  Probably not yet, though.  It looks like there are copies available to people in academia.

It's 5G's & an agreement that you will not reproduce or share the data.

So, you may hear people talk about the data.  But you will not find it floating around.

It's likely a report that corporate VP's and very high level business types wlil want to look at.  I can't imagine near that value for anyone other than very high end people anyway.  I guess us working class types aren't meant to see information like that.

Yes.. But you have to give credit where credit is due.  Many of those corporate guys know and understand business. They are the guys who make sure there is money in the account to make payroll.

Yes.. I do have a reservations for technicians who see the lab manager and the boss's boss as people who all they do is sit back and relax in their comfy offices.  Until you have been on that side of the coin you can't appreciate how hard and draining it is.  Most managers I know, long for this simpler days when all they had to worry about was getting equipment out the door.

I guess I should clarify that I am although still a working technician, in management as well.  I am involved in market, even some research into global markets (I'm actually fascinated by global markets, and would love to be more involved).

So I will add the caveat that I believe a well researched report on global markets could be a very valuable tool.  I'll stick with the thought that, particularly at the price of $2500 per copy, is meant for high level VP's and so forth, not because I don't respect that level of the business, but because I don't have that kind of money.  And Global indices, I think have actual value only for global companies, or those with imminent global aspirations.

$43.103 per page. Hope they're all good.

In my defense I ended up doing "commercial calibration" for a company straight out of the military and had an extremely bad experience with crappy leaders (management).  Quality took a backseat to dollars.  I'm still adjusting a year later to working for a company that actually cares about me and my ability to actually do my job correctly.  Sorry if I offended anybody.  It's hard to let go of the hell my previous employer drove me into.

I agree, it is a very expensive bit of paperwork for a lower level.
I also think that is not for the worker bees doing the heavy lifting, there'd be no place for executives to shred $2500 for targeted research like this.
