I know the probable answer, but wondering if anyone has found vendors for some of the various high power, ultra high accuracy resistors to fully meet spec in repairing these. The probable answer I am expecting is ESI (IET).
I think Newark or Allied carries resistors that will substitute well in your ESI. You have to really drill down through their menus to find them.
The ESI I am concerned with is the SR1030 that is designed for use in an oil bath. So I have to find seals and resistors as needed. The challenge is that I need to know for certain that resistors I get are fully properly specified for that application. Anyone have experience opening the SR1030? I don't have it here yet, but I have SR1010's to look at. Does anyone know for certain if the SR1010 and SR1030 resistors are the same or different. And any info about the seals in the SR1030? Is the SR1030 supposed to be sealed to prevent oil from getting inside? Just need to get some good info. It almost looks like ESI may have previously made the resistors themselves. And IET has stated that they won't support the old ESI systems as far as replacement resistors. So I'm wondering if ESI hand trimmed in-house-made resistors, and if IET is doing the same. And if so, how to get proper replacement resistors for the old ESI systems.
If you have the cart SR-1030 system all 6 are immersed in oil, if they are separate ten the 100K/step is dry.
The gaskets seal the esi SR1030 to keep the work surface and measuring contacts clean. The gaskets also minimize oil aging and contamination to lengthen the time between oil changes.
Does anyone by any chance have the manual for the ESI SR1060? And if so, can you look to see if the o-rings and seals are listed - details, part numbers, vendor, etc. Or any information about them? Also, if someone has the manual, does it possibly list material type for each of the resistances in the set?
The final question is regarding the SR1010 versus SR1030. Are the resistors in the SR1010 the same type as found in the SR1030?
