Title: 5720A
Post by: silv3rstr3 on 07-29-2014 -- 07:23:02
When calibrating the 5720A is it necessary to characterize another 5720A and include it in the calibration to achieve 4:1 accuracy?

well, what you would do is to verify the output against a sufficiently accurate standard. that would not be a 5720a that has just been self-calibrated (artifact calibration). if that answers your question?

I got the 5790A, 8508A, DC references, resistors, AC shunts, reference divider, and null detector.  I just wasn't sure if I also needed to use a calibrator in this process.  Trying to figure out how they would do it at Fluke in Everett.
