Need to build a couple of custom cables to use with our Guildline 6520 Teraohmmeter. The factory source cable has HV-BNC plug and Type-N (f) connectors. The input cable has triaxial plug and Type-N (f) connectors.
The source cable is stamped: : RG 58 A/U, 21 AWG. But the input cable has no markings and is smaller in diameter. Anyone know what type of coaxial cable it is? I have the connectors and some of the RG 58, just need to know the input cable type.
I think Triax is usually high low shield?? I have a Teraohmmeter with the same plugs. I like my older 6500, as it has two type N connectors. There are Triax to BNC adapters. It is well suited to measure some of the high resistance boxes from Agilent/HP that have Triax to BNC connections. I think the 16353 series has that.
Have several different cables sets already available including Banana ends. Note not just cable type must be considered, but in designing own, how grounds and cables are connected if two wire measurement is being made.
