How does a part time cal position work? Is it after hours or a 3rd shift kind of thing?

The position is on-call. We have a lot of cal techs that are still making a transition into the civilian workplace and are unable to work full-time.

The on-call techs will usually work nights or weekends when they are available. The typical work week usually ranges anywhere from 15-20 hours.

Anything close to Pittsburgh? Why do you not have a lab in that area?

We have a SIMCO lab in Newport News, Virginia. This would be the closest lab to Pittsburgh area.

Currently, we dont have any opportunities available at the VA lab but new job opportunities always become available based on the need.

Please send resumes to [email protected] if you would like me to keep you in mind. Thank you!

I heard recently that SIMCO has a tendency to lay people off. Is there any truth to this? For anyone who has worked in a SIMCO lab, how often did people come and go?
