Required skills Associates degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience. Experience in the calibration and repair of a broad range of inspection, measuring and test equipment. Experience in determining calibration requirements, performing uncertainty calculations, and developing manual and automated calibration procedures. Experience in the use of computers, connectivity, Microsoft Office, instrumentation control utilizing automated calibration software. Familiarity with ANSI Z540 or ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
Desired skills Current knowledge of Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (MST) programs, policies, and procedures. Experience in instrumentation control utilizing programming language/environments (Met/Cal , SureCal, TransEra HTBasic, Agilent VEE, LabView). Effective communication skills with internal and external customers. Prior experience with ANSI Z540 and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Experience with performing uncertainty calculations and optimizations. Experience in calibration of general purpose electronics, fiber optics, RF/Microwave, vibration, dimensional, mechanical, audio, temperature & humidity, and primary electrical standards. Additional education up to bachelors degree.
Specific Job Description As directed by Metrology Lab Management, provides technical support to Calibration Technicians in the areas of technical assistance, automated and manual calibration procedure development to improve laboratory production and efficiency in the calibration and repair of inspection, measuring and test equipment. Supports management in the participation in/conduct of equipment capital planning activities, internal laboratory and vendor evaluations, and system/personal computer maintenance. Assist/develop Metrology measurement methods, procedures, and measurement uncertainty calculations. Assistance with and maintenance of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Conduct routine laboratory administartive duties as directed by management.
