For the most part KAI is a great place to work. The pay is great for the area and the people for the most part are good. However, KAI does not care take good care ( benifits wise ) of their people. I one day will return, but for now I must try something new. I must admit I do miss being there, but I do love my new job. Don't forget there is another world out there. Thinking of signing on with KAI salary offered in the 27-29 an hour range...benefits seem to be just so so...kinda of concerned that they are losing people to the Goverment lab in such large numbers..

From what little I know none of us techs make over 24.62 /hour its either 22.62 or 24.62

Based on your signature, you may not want to go this direction, but Air Force contract PMELs are always looking for good people. I'm not aware of any openings in Texas, but many other locations.
Have you checked out ecalibration.com or yulista.com? We're Yulista up here in the frozen north. the ecalibration site has a good cross section of jobs all over the world, but not all of them.
