Micro Precision, SE, Simco - they're all bottom feeders and I'm not sure anybody really cares to pay attention to who's bigger. When you get that kind of reputation they tend to seem like the same thing. Low pay, poor benefits and high turnover - one of these guys was actually offering a ten grand signing bonus to attract interviews. That's a sign of a company no one wants to work for.

YOU ARE CORRECT-BOTTOM FEEDERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO DO THE CUSTOMERS BIDDING RATHER THAN DO IT RIGHT!

Please elaborate on this.  How is doing what the customers ask and annotating it on a cert not doing it "Right".  Its the customers responsibility they use there equipment correctly, in accordance with the calibration performed, not my responsibility.  Im there to provide a service for the customer as long as it doesnt violate my companies ethics.  Hence why I document the cal performed on a cert that is outside the "Norm" so to say.

LOL I guess there is no such thing as a calibration to "customer requirements" or a "special Cal"???

not saying special cal doesn't have it's place when used accordingly. However not doing a cal correctly, or not having the proper standards and not saying no to the customer is a different thing. Bottom feeders usually cannot, or do not say no. I have seen this when one of the above companies came to our facility to calibrate our standards.

Thank you for clarifying that.  Lying about a calibration performed is much different than telling the customer what has been done and documenting it accordingly.
