I just found this forum. Being a very old PMEL tech, I had to say, Hi!
I helped open the lab at Beale AFB in 1961. Also the year I was trained at Lowery AFB. I left Beale AFB in Sept. 1964 as an E5. In addition, I transferred from Travis AFB to open the base for the B-52G's as a 32350 AFSC.
I just retired after servicing blood processing equipment for many years.
Please contact me if you like.
I am on Facebook and support the pages of "The Gathering of Eagles", the movie filmed at Beale AFB.
Also, I would like to see what happened to the Base home I lived in at 4225 Tannen Way? I understand the homes were replaced due to age? I guess, just like me. :)
Guess we all get there eventually. I think you might have a few years on me. I spent my life in PMEL and TMDE. Thinking of retiring. I also worked on biomedical equipment for a few years back in my GE days.
Glad to meet you
I guess replacement is better than shut down. I have a pretty bad record, three of the four bases I went to are close now.
Lowry AFB
Torrejon AFB
Albrook AFB (Howard AFB)
Good thing I got out. LOL
