Title: Non-micrometer type alignment telescope adjustment
Post by: calibretmp on 02-08-2012 -- 16:18:22
Does anyone know the correct way to adjust an alignment telescope that lacks micrometers(71-2062, C47280, 5560G1).  I have found that if I adjust the reticle screws for half of my error while sighting on an infinity target, it is a hit or miss situation on whether the closer targets will be in tolerance when they are checked.  Often times, I will make several adjustments and for some unknown reason, I eventually adjust it correctly to where all the targets fall in line as they should but I haven't figured out how or why.  The cal will take 3 times as long in such cases.
