Isn't a six month wait for benefits a lot to ask of a candidate?

Years ago I used to see 30 and 90 day waits for benefits, most positions I see now that are permanent have benefits offered upon hire.

A little caveat...no benefits for 6 months means: no vacation accrual, no sick leave accrual, or paid holidays.

Just think of it as indentured servitude.

I have never heard of a company doing that and I have interviewed with quite a few. No sick time or vacation? I thought that was just referring to the medical benefits?

I have never worked at this company, but I do know techs that have worked there.  They couldn't get out of there fast enough.  Some of them took sizeable pay cuts to leave there.  These were mainly east coast locations.

You are correct guys...no bennies, no leave accural, no sick leave, no paid holidays in the first 6 months. No option to work those holidays either.
