Title: Snap On QTS135
Post by: Aprosule on 01-19-2012 -- 08:02:13
Been getting in repaired Snap On torque wrenches P/N QTS135.  5-35"lb Screwdriver with 8 breaking points at 4% IV.  Went to calibrate and turn to find that they are still out of tolerance.  Used both hand calibration and use of a mechanical mount.  Consistant OOT. Called Snap On and was forwarded to their calibration lab who gave me a number to ACTUAL manufacturer "Precision Instruments".  Called, the guy who would know hadn't shown up to work yet (after an hour past their opening).  I'm getting frustrated and don't want to wait on a call back from him with these overpriced lumps of junk in my name.

Anyone else getting these issues?

I have sent a few torque wrenches to precision instruments and they all came back in calibration. Verified when they returned from repair.
