Apparently you will be working in areas that manufacturer penicillian. That puts a lot of people out for applying for this job...
I would also say it's low balling the wages...I'm from Buffalo, and you need a bit more than that....although he did say there's overtime...
But still, I didn't see where there would be moving expenses...
Mike
I would have to agree with Mike, I mean its great that there is over-time but in order to be a decent wage it should resemble the over-time wage instead.
I know there is 8.8% unemployment out there right now but the Calibration community has not been hit as hard thankfully.
Not to mention good techncians are always in short supply and there are always jobs out there to be had as long as you are willing to relocate but it does seem since 2008 many employers are taking advantage of the so called downturn (economic collapse) and wages have declined an avg of $5.00 per hour, at least that is my opinion on what I have noticed. And yet they being employers insist on whining about talent not being available....you must pay in order to attract talent!
Gotta agree with Mike. A little on the low side for a good tech.
Actually, this is the kind of feedback recruiters need, as well as those leaving the military looking for jobs.
Can't say what I get..contract..we know how that is, but 'tis a bit more than $20/hr...
It might be a good entry level for someone with 6 to 8 years experience, but for a 20 year retiree, no, I don't think so
But good luck...if they paid moving expenses and kicked it up another $10/hr, I'd look into it...
Mike
It also sounds like a job where you will be onsite alot away from home and all usually those pay a couple bucks more an hour. I have to say though for someone getting straight out of the military this might be a good job. Of course then again staright out of the military you probably would not have the experience to handle this job.
What struck me is the part about (verified) reliable transportation. Is it SOP for companies to expect you to use your personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) as a primary work vehicle? Anyone with experience in this situation?
I wonder if my little Mazda Miata is considered (verified) reliable transportation? I can always put the top down.
That was not part of any agreement with any job that I have ever interviewed for ( the good car part) Most places I have interviewed for that want you tyo travel have supplied the car.
