Description
Calibrates and repairs electrical measuring and test equipment including Factory Test Equipment. Uses both manual and automated test procedures. Troubleshoots test equipment failures to the lowest serviceable assembly. Must be able to read and interpret test equipment schematics and specifications. Analyzes substitute measurement standards relative to calibration specifications to assure validity of acceptance or rejection. Develops calibration and test procedures when adequate procedures are not available. Maintain record of maintenance and calibration of instrumentation using an online database. Be responsive and empathetic to Customer needs. Conscientiously and methodically approach work.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma and 2 year technical degree or equivalent
required. Knowledge of metrology principles, basic control practices and theories, national quality standards and metrology related terminology is needed. The candidate must also have at least 8 years experience calibrating and repairing electronic test equipment including the following types: AC/DC, Microwave, Video, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Meters, Generators, Frequency Counters, etc. Ability to analyze and interpret technical writings and information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. Be able to lift, carry, push and pull more than 15 pounds and up to 75 pounds.
